Echostage was packed on Saturday’s cold spring evening, with hordes of concertgoers getting amped to see Bingo Players. The show was extra-special for everyone in attendance as it marks Bingo’s first appearance in DC since the passing of the beloved Paul Bäume. The memory of Paul only fueled the “PLUR” filled message of the evening, with some in attendance rocking “fuck cancer” kandy to show their support.

The show began with a great warm-up set by Echostage house DJ Roberto Gonzalez who got the crowd started playing EDM tracks climbing their way up the charts such as Cedric Gervais’s remix of Lana Del Ray’s “Young and Beautiful” to the crowd favorite “Turn Down for What.” His set culminated with a massive display of Echostage’s recent award of #19 best club in the world, which elicited massive amounts of cheering and a surge of energy from the crowd as Bingo Players took the stage.

Maarten took the crowd through a truly memorable experience. He played some of Bingo Players best known hits such as “Cry (Just a little bit)” and “Rattle;” even throwing in “Recess” by Skrillex and a remix of “Stay the Night” by Zedd. He continued to keep the night going strong, mixing together everything from trap to house; even throwing in a little bit of trance. All of which was set to a truly memorable light show, which featured an amazing mix of lasers and visuals, combined with images superimposed onto the laser show.

Bingo Players lived up to their hype, and delivered a show at Echostage that will not soon be forgotten, just as the memory of Paul will always live on as Bingo Players remains PLURal.
